Meditation techniques to use during a crisis

Meditation techniques to use during a crisis Relaxing techniques can be used to help you get through even the most difficult times.

It can be an excellent way to start feeling better if you're going through a tough time, whether related to a crisis or something in your personal life.

When you meditate, you enter into a state of quietness where your mind isn't racing or full of negative thoughts. Instead, it's clear and focused on being present at the moment with yourself.

It's an experience that helps you escape the chaos that often fills our minds and into a space of peace and tranquillity.

1. Yoga Breathing Many people who practice meditation find it helpful to use a breathing technique. In yoga, it's common to use a type called ujjayi breathing. It sounds a little complicated, but it's effortless. First, ensure you're sitting with your spine straight, and your shoulders relaxed. Place your tongue behind your teeth and press it against the roof of your mouth. Finally, breathe in and out through your nose. As you inhale, press your tongue against the top of your mouth with a slight vibration. As you exhale, open your mouth slightly. This will help you to slow down your breathing and move from a fast breathing pattern to a slower, more relaxed one.

2. Candle Illumination If you've been struggling with a crisis, it can be helpful to look back on your life to see how far you've come. One excellent way to do this is through what's called candle illumination meditation. First, light a candle for yourself. While the candle is burning, think about the person you were ten years ago, five years ago, one year ago, and one month ago. Look back on your life and reflect on how much you've grown and changed as a person. This meditation can be a fantastic way to help you move past any shame or guilt you may be feeling and recognize just how strong you are.

3. Coaching Another great way to get the benefits of meditation is through coaching. When you work with a life coach, you'll have regular meetings where you can talk about your challenges. You'll also have the opportunity to work on some meditation techniques. For example, a coach can help you slow down your breathing or work on journaling techniques while in a meditative state. This support can help you get the most out of meditation and start feeling better sooner. Finding the time to meditate can be challenging when you're going through a crisis. With that in mind, we recommend you set aside a few daily minutes to practice this technique.

You can do this while sitting on your couch or while walking. No matter how much time you have, meditation can help you find some peace during a stressful time. These powerful techniques will help you deal with any crises you're going through.
